Boehler Abfall GmbH from Feldkirch, Austria, is part of the Boehler und Sohn company and was founded in 1987 by Horst Boehler. It collects and processes hazardous and nonhazardous waste from municipalities and the industry, including sewage sludge. Boehler maintains its own vehicle fleet with special vehicles for hazardous waste and, through its participation in Burtscher Transporte, also with classic waste collection vehicles. In 1994, the Boehler Analytik laboratory was founded, which now operates as an independent company (Kalb Analytik). In addition, Boehler has been operating its own plant for the chemical-physical treatment of liquid and solid hazardous waste with large storage areas since 1988. Boehler is mainly active in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, but also maintains industry contacts in other European countries.

Role in the Project

Within FlashPhos, Boehler examines European markets of sewage sludge and industrial wastes and identifies and acquires industrial wastes suitable for FlashPhos. In addition, it conducts waste analytics and material transports.
