In July, Straubinger Entwässerung und Reinigung (SER) celebrated its 10th anniversary. The company takes care of the drainage and cleaning of the city of Straubing in Germany. For the anniversary occasion, the company provided an interesting look behind the scenes. In addition, the so-called “BioFARM” was inaugurated – in which future technology is created from the wastewater treatment plant. In keeping with the theme, there were several booths where exciting projects were presented. Thus, Lukas Pohl and Ayumi Schober from the Institute for Sanitary Engineering, Water Quality and Solid Waste Management (ISWA) from the University of Stuttgart were also on site to present the EU project FlashPhos. As project partners, they supervised the information stand, explained the FlashPhos concept and presented first groundbreaking results of the project.
